Kolkata Gets an OCC

Kolkata joined the startup unconferencing bandwagon last month with its first OpenCoffee Club at the landmark Oxford Bookstore on Park Street. Here’s welcoming the newest kid on the block.

Kolkata is now the eighth city in India to have hosted an OpenCoffee Club (OCC). After Chennai, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Delhi and Noida, the city hosted its first OCC on Sunday, July 27th, at Oxford Bookstore on Park Street. Seven enthusiastic entrepreneurs turned up for the meet and discussed a variety of topics including major barriers that are faced in Kolkata in starting up, Google’s ethics, search engined optimization, funding, bootstrapping and much more over four and a half hours.
